FDR's New Deal
When the Great Depression hit, people were unprepared. Men roamed the streets, looking for jobs. America needed hope and a leader to help them get through this tough time. With FDR in office, people expected a response. He responded with the New Deal, a series of programs, projects, financial changes, and regulations. However, other people craved for more change, and they would break a barrier themselves.
A Call For Change
Racial discrimination was still at its height in the 1930's, but people of color were becoming tired of injustice in America. Someone was going to have to do something, and do it soon. To end racism, all it would take would be just the smallest of events to put the Civil Rights movement into motion.
